Stoner metalci The Sword so danes objavili novo pesem Veil of Isis. Pesem boste našli na The Sword novem albumu Apocryphon, ki bo izšel 22.10 letos. Pesem si lahko poslušate tukaj.

Slovenski drone doomerji Chains bodo izdali nov album

Dejstvo je, da je doom metal skupin v Sloveniji malo, nasploh pa primanjkuje ekstremnih doom metal skupin. Zato me je presenetila novica, da bodo slovenski drone doomerji Chains ta teden na založbi Le Crepuscule du Soir Productions izdali prvenec Of Death. Na njem bo 7 skladb.

Draconian so našli zamenjavo za Liso Johansson

Lansko leto je pevka Draconian Lisa Eriksson zapustil Draconian. Včeraj so Draconian uradno naznanili njeno zamenjavo Heike Langhans. Že oktobra lahko pričakujemo novo turnejo in pisanje novih pesmi. Pa si poglejmo, kaj je napisala Heike ob zamenjavi ( vir:http://www.draconian.se/main.php)

Greetings to all, I will start off by saying that Lisa will be dearly missed. Replacing a voice such as hers is a concept foreign to most fans, myself included. I've listened to Draconian for many years and share the same sentiments as you do. She will never be forgotten and we wish her well for the future.That being said, this is a new era for Draconian and one to look forward to. My joining has not been an easy process. Dealing with Embassies, Migration boards and countless authority figures has delayed the joining process slightly, but we do what we can and remain patient. All in the name of doom.The last few months have been busy indeed. Traveling back and forth, rehearsing and getting to know my new surroundings has been exciting and hard work. I used to believe it can't be done, but I've proved to myself and others that everything we are passionate about in life is worth fighting for.As a new member, I have prepared myself for the positive as well as the negative, but would like to thank all the kindness I've received so far from fans upon the release of Draconian's 'Lake of Tears' tribute song, 'Demon you/Lilly Anne'. Though my part in it was not big, it's a little taste of things to come. I'm immensely excited to share a stage with these like-minded individuals and to touch the hearts of people all over the world with our musical poetry.I'll see you all soon! Soundgarden so objavili trailer za novi album

Še pomnite, da so se Soundgarden ponovno združili leta 2010. V tem času so odigrali kopico koncertov in izdali nekaj singlov. Danes pa so objavili trailer za njihov najnovejši album King Animal, ki bo izšel 13.11. letos. Več informacij sledi...

Galadriel so objavili nov singel

Slovaški simfonični doomerji so po 5 letih zatišja izdali nov singel z naslovom Evilution. Galadriel trenutno pospešeno delajo na novem albumu, ki se bo imenoval The 7th Queen Enthroned. Album bo izdan 28.9 na založbi Gothdoom Productions. Objavi prilagam naslovnico in novi singel, ki ga najdete na povezavi spodaj.

Saint Vitus ponujajo novi EP

Doom metal legende Saint Vitus so v živo posneli nov EP, ko so koncertirali na Scion Rock Fest. EP je naslovljen preprosto Live. Na njem lahko najdete tri pesmi in sicer Mystic Lady, The Bleeding Ground, Born Too Late.
Saint Vitus so trenutno na ameriški turneji skupaj z Weedeater in Sourvein.

Forgotten Tomb bodo izdali nov album

Italijani Forgotten Tomb bodo 30. oktobra izdali nov album z naslovom ...And Don't Deliver Us From Evil. Album bo izšel na založbi Agonia Records. Album bo izšel tudi kot "digipack" CD in kot vinilka.

Album naj bi bil najbolj oseben do tedaj, band pa je album komentiral takole:

"More powerful and straight to the point, the album begins where its predecessor - last year's Under Saturn Retrograde, released by AGONIA RECORDS - melodically ended. The directions of the new release may vary over the last year's offering, however, as the band submerges into darker, more horror-like regions, and underground scenery, serving us a steadier and more mature recording. FORGOTTEN TOMB is still obscure, still melodic, and still follows its own negative path, continuously experimenting with sound and the imagination. But as fans of the formation may already know, the Italian outfit is likely to surprise the listener during their long and complex compositions, smuggling mainstream-music elements and wise song-structures into the outwardly fearsome metal landscapes, making the obvious music subgenres sound not that obvious anymore."

Švedski retro hard/stoner rockerji Graveyard so objavili novo pesem z naslovom Goliath. Pesem bo izšla na njihovem najnovejšem albumu Lights Out, ki bo izšel 26.10 v Evropi v založbi Nuclear Blast.

Angleški death doomerji Torture Garden bodo kmalu izdali album z naslovom The Great Depression ( točen datum še ni znan). Band je pred kratkim razkril, da bodo izdali dvojni CD, na katerem boste našli naslednje skladbe:

Superskupina Serpentine Path je pridobila novega kitarista

Letos je nastala superskupina Serpentine Path. V njej so člani Unearthly Trance in Ramesses. Pred kratkim pa je skupina najavila, da se ji je pridružil še kitarist Stephen Flam. Flam je znan kot član kultih Winter. Člani Serpentine Path so vokalist Ryan Lipynsky, kitarista Tim Bagshaw in Stephen Flam, basist Jay Newman in bobnar Darren Verni

R.I.P. Vance Bockis

Verjetno še niste slišali za Vanca Bockisa. Gre za nekdanjega člana dveh skupin, ki sta zaznamovali doom metal: The Obsessed in Pentagram. Bil je eden od številnih članov Pentagram pomemben je posnel prve demote skupine The Obsessed in tako v treh letih ( od 1980-83) vplival na razvoj skupine.

Umrl naj bi prvega septembra in zaradi ponesrčene operacije.
